NPE2018 PRODUCTS ON DISPLAY FRIDAY N PE 2 018 M AY 11TH 609-646-8000 Jomar successfully launched the IntelliDrive TM series of injection blow molding machines to combine the best of electric and hydraulic technologies. And has been adding new models ever since. The 135 is the latest to gain this distinction and all of these advantages (plus more): • Energy savings of up to 50%* • Faster dry cycle times • Longer life for your molds • Less hydraulic oil usage (up to 40% less) • Less cooling water usage • Less noise and less vibration • 30 month warranty on hydraulic components (ask us for full details) *Energy consumption reduction contingent upon machine model, container specification, and material process. GET MORE PRODUCTION FOR LESS WITH THE NEW JOMAR INTELLIDRIVE 135! Smarter injection blow molding. More production. Lower costs. JOMAR EXPANDS INTELLIDRIVE TO THE 135 Visit us in South Hall, Level 1, Booth S12077 Wimann Shows Its 'Pathway to 4.0' Wimann Baenfeld Inc. | Booth W3742 Wimann Baenfeld demonstrates its HiQ-Melt, HighQ-Flow, and HiQ-Cushion "smart machine" technologies as part of its "Wimann 4.0" program. What's more, this firm is in the unusual posiঞon of making both injecঞon machines and a full range of auxiliaries. It has therefore employed OPC-UA and other technologies to link all these devices with the aid of a secure Wimann 4.0 router. This router is a key to Wimann's "Plug & Produce" iniঞaঞve, which makes it possible to store and recall all parameter seমngs for a parঞcular job within the Unilog B8 machine con- trol—everything needed to set up the molding machine, robot, dryer, chiller, TCU and blend- er. If this data is not recorded on the machine, it can be retrieved from an MES system. Wimann 4.0 integraঞon is being demonstrated on six work cells at NPE, the most elab- orate of them involving integraঞon (via the Wimann 4.0 router) of the robot, TCU, blender, Flowcon Plus electronic water-flow controller, HiQ-Flow and Cushion funcঞons on the in- jecঞon press, and two cavity-pressure sensors. Non-Wimann units also integrated into the same network via the router and a Windows-based controller include a Gammaflux hot- runner controller, HRSflow servo controller for five valve gates, and Opঞ Check from Schneider Form, which measures the deflecঞon of the mold during injecঞon. This cell also shows the new CMS (Condiঞon Monitoring System) for predicঞve maintenance. | (860) 496-9603 Liquid Colorants and Addiঞves for Beverage Boles REPI LLC | Booth S19103 New addiঞons to a broad range of liquid addi- ঞves and colorants for beverage and industrial applicaঞons from Italy's REPI LLC are being showcased at NPE2018. For the beverage sector, these include new Anঞ-Yellow and IV Enhancers for R-PET processing, and UV-stabilizers and barrier whites for UHT milk boles. For industrial applicaঞons, Repi is featuring its broad porolio of liquid processing addiঞves for PC, PMMA, PVC, HDPE, PP and ABS. It is also exhibiঞng its new Xpansor liquid foaming agent for PVC that is said to result in a lighter foamed sheet with a perfectly smooth surface. | (704) 648-0252 New PET Machines and Pinch-Handle Technology SIDE S.A. | Booth S16084 SIDE S.A. of Spain presents its new genera- ঞon of linear RSBM machines. They employ ABB variable-frequency drives, improved heaঞng controls (Siemens), reduced mechani- cal movements to minimize wear, and easier access to the preform loader. These machines include the model 2006e, which takes up to six caviঞes for products from 250 ml to 3 L and output up to 10,000 bph. Model 2003eG is a two-cavity unit for up to 10 L containers and outputs from 2200 to 2600 bph. SIDE is also featuring its T-handle technol- ogy, which produces PET jugs with a pinched handle (up to 36 mm deep) through compression molding in the tool. It reportedly can make PET handleware com- peঞঞve with HDPE, owing to higher throughputs with PET. 34 93 846 3051 'Augmented Reality' Highlights Project Engineering Capabiliঞes FARREL POMINI | Booth W6345 Farrel Pomini is showcasing its project engi- neering and service soluঞons with a display that will include its augmented reality capa- biliঞes. Within project engineering, Farrel Pomini oversees and executes iniঞal feasibility studies before moving onto complete engi- neering design, installaঞon and commission- ing services, providing customers a successful installaঞon, completed on ঞme and within budget. Farrel Pomini's service soluঞons porolio includes spare parts, technical services, re- manufacturing services and process laborato- ries. Remanufac- turing services provide repairs ranging from the simple to a com- plete remanufac- ture bringing the equipment back to origi- nal producঞvity specificaঞons. Process laboratories are available for conducঞng development trials and consultaঞons with a variety of process tools and configuraঞons uঞlizing producঞon size equipment. | (203) 736-5500 71
