New Features for STF's Polygonal Verঞcal and Horizontal Auger Combinaঞon Zimmer America - STF Group - Beccaria Booth S19181 STF Group (Booth S19181) presents the next generaঞon of its polygonal verঞcal and horizontal auger combinaঞon. New features for the horizontal auger include an easy-to-exchange liner of "Robalon S" hard plasঞc with a high wear protecঞon; larger auger diameter of 515 mm; external solid rubber cou- pling for beer access and maintenance and a stronger motor output of 3.0 kW. The verঞcal auger's new features include wider side guid- ing rails, adjustable from outside of the housing; large doors for mainte- nance and inspecঞon openings; complete lining of the lower secঞon of the inside of the housing with "Vauঞd" hardened metal for a high wear protecঞon; larger auger diameter of 600 mm; auger pitch of 400 mm; and a stron- ger motor output of 7.5 kW. The updates allow a bigger throughput—6-7 tons/hr. In addiঞon, the combinaঞon of a horizontal and verঞcal auger saves space since a long diagonal conveyor belt system is no longer needed, according to the company. STF screw conveyors are ideal for transporঞng boles as well as dry and wet plasঞc flakes. | (864) 464-0007 The Centerwave 6,000 from Sikora is a system for measuring the diameter, ovality, wall thickness and sagging of large pipe from (90 to 3,200 mm) during extrusion. The system is based on millimeter waves technology. It's available in a rotaঞng version, offering the complete measurement of the wall thickness at 360 points across the enঞre circumference of the pipe. Alternaঞvely, Sikora offers a mulঞ-axial system available with staঞc sensors. The Planowave 6,000, also based on milli- meter waves technology, is used for thickness measurement of plasঞc sheets. Sikora is also displaying the Purity Scanner Advanced for online inspecঞon and sorঞng of plasঞc material. The combi- naঞon of an X-ray camera with a flexible, opঞcal camera sys- tem is said to be the only technology at present that reliably detects contaminaঞon on the surface as well as inside of plas- ঞc pellets. Contaminated pellets are automaঞcally sorted out. Depending on the type of contaminaঞon and applicaঞon, opঞ- cal high-speed cameras as well as X-ray, color and infrared cameras are used. For smaller material throughputs and for applicaঞons where sampling analysis or incoming goods inspecঞon are sufficient, Sikora is displaying the Purity Concept Systems.
