Toyo All-Electric Presses in a Variety of Roles Among five demonstraঞons of Toyo all-electric machines, Maruka USA (Booths W1103, W911) provides an example of its new customizaঞon services. A recent project is the customized 150-ton Toyo Si-150-6 on display, which is molding golf tees. In addiঞon, a 110-ton Toyo Si-110-6 is molding LSR magni- fying glasses, and a 400-ton Toyo Si-400-6 is producing decora- ঞve flowerpots in four caviঞes (two pots and two bases). A 55-ton Toyo Si-55-6 is producing medical safety caps. Also, a verঞcal, all-electric Toyo ET-90HR2 verঞcal rotary machine is on display. Rocheleau Introduces Its Largest Reciprocaঞng-Screw Blow Molder Maruka Parts Sales Associate Kaমe Nesbit discusses the company's Toyo Si-150-6 and new customizaঞon services. Son and father team Nick and Jeff Rocheleau tout the capabiliঞes of the company's RS-90 blow molding machine. Rocheleau Tool & Die Co., Inc., (Booth W5573) manufacturer of extrusion blow molding machinery, molds and automaঞon, is introducing its largest machine yet, the Model RS-90 recip- rocaঞng-screw blow molder, targeঞng dairy, industrial and consumer containers. The RS-90 is capable of six-cavity gallon producঞon or up to 16 caviঞes of smaller items. With a 90-mm extruder, output is expected to exceed 750 lb/hr of HDPE. The RS-90 is powered by a hybrid system, uঞlizing both VFD electric technology and hydraulics, providing energy efficiencies as well as ease of op- eraঞon. Clamp tonnage is generated from two high-torque, high-force rotary actuators. The clamp unit offers a usable platen area 16 in. tall × 48 in. wide, with extra-thick, nick- el-plated platens to ensure evenly distributed clamp force and minimal deflecঞon. Opঞons include parison programming, pull-up or ram-down style neck calibra- ঞon for handled boles, or spin-trim systems for non-handled boles. The RS-90 can be integrated in line with the new VT-3 Deflash Automaঞon Package. The direct-load VT-3 transfers parts in an upright orientaঞon to the punch staঞon for impact trimming. It can accept up to a triple-staঞon nest and punch die. Rocheleau machinery processes pri- marily HDPE and PP resins. Other res- ins, such as PETG, PVC, PC, and Santo- prene TPV have been run successfully on Rocheleau machinery.
