Our theme for NPE this year is Pathway to Powder, where we will display our newest technologies to reach clean, 425 microns powder (tire rubber) and under 200 microns on other polymers, using ambient air only in just a few steps. "NPE is a huge, interna- ঞonal technology show that really helps in- crease the internaঞonal visibility and focus for our field," says Glenn Anderson, NPE2018 chairman and vice president, Stra- tegic Account Development for Milacron. Located in both the West and South buildings are 18 pavilions with exhibitors from 13 countries accounঞng for 40,200 net [² of exhibit space. The largest of these pa- vilions is the Taiwan External Trade Develop- ment Council (TAITRA), while the China Plas- ঞcs Machinery Industry Associaঞon (CPMIA) is bringing the most exhibitors. Other coun- tries represented by internaঞonal pavilions include Austria, Canada, France, India, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. "Including both exhibitors and aendees, we have 128 countries represented this year. That's about a third of the world," Anderson notes. "NPE2018 has seen a strong upঞck in in- ternaঞonal registraঞons," notes Tad McGwire, vice-chair of the NPE2018 Execu- ঞve Commiee and president of Industrial Heater Corp. "The Internaঞonal Pavilions further posiঞon NPE as the meeঞng place for the enঞre industry and speak to the growing globalizaঞon of our show." In what has become a trademark exhibit for Arburg at major shows, Industry 4.0 networking capability is demonstrated via individualized manufacturing—in this case, of business-card holders. They are injecঞon molded and then barcode labeled them by laser marking, followed by custom decoraঞng with Arburg's Freeformer 3D printer.
