TUESDAY NPE2018 M AY 8 TH A M E R I M O L D E X P O . C O M REGISTER NOW! PRESENTED BY: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES for mold builders and mold buyers EXHIBIT HALL featuring machine tools, mold components, tooling, materials, software, more AMERIMOLD TECH TALKS on designing, machining, maintaining molds BOOTH SALES ARE OPEN Sales@amerimold.com CO-LOCATED WITH: Novi, MI | June 13-14, 2018 OVER MOLDING COMPOSITES Larger Booth, Closer Proximity to Technology Partners for Burger & Brown Burger & Brown Engineering Inc. has upgraded its NPE2018 presence to a 30-by-20 island in the West Hall (Booth W3291) that is cay corner from RJG (Booth W3383). RJG is running the company's new TracerVM Base units. The Tracer plaorm gathers and shares flow rate and temperature data from up to eight TracerVM Base flowmeters installed in injecঞon mold cooling circuits. TracerVM Base Flowmeters purchased separately can be connected via cable to the TracerVM Bluetooth Interface. Burger & Brown says the interface wirelessly transmits data to display on a mobile device up to 20 meters away, with the mobile app able to show informaঞon from up to 30 units at one ঞme, creaঞng flow-condiঞon data-log files. These can then be saved onto a USB flash drive to document a process's mold cooling water condiঞons. TracerVM can also communicate over an Ethernet connec- ঞon with a local network. Data Logger PC so[ware, which is included with the interface, displays and stores temperature and flow rate data. In addiঞon to saving comma-delimited data files that can be placed into a spreadsheet, the so[ware enables customizable visual alerts for low- or high-tempera- ture and flow-rate limits. The new TracerVM A with AutoReg is a new automaঞc flow regulator that automaঞcally adjusts flow rate to the required user-selected volume regardless of changes in line pressure. This results in a more consistent flow rate with more control over cooling water condiঞons in criঞcal molding situaঞons. The electronics control communicates with the valve actuator, adjusঞng the valve opening to maintain the correct flow rate. Local or remotely mounted electronics control allows for con- venient posiঞoning. Electronics control may be mounted up to 2.9 meters (9.5-[) away from the flow sensor and regulator. In addiঞon to RJG, Milacron and Sumitomo (SHI) Demag have TracerVM products installed and operaঞonal on injecঞon molding machines at NPE2018. The new TracerVM A with AutoReg on display in the Burger & Brown Engineering booth, is a new automaঞc flow regulator that automaঞcally adjusts flow rate to the required user-selected volume regardless of changes in line pressure. Plasঞcs Leadership Summit to Focus on Projected Market Demand By Heather Caliendo Plascs Technology The second day of the Plasঞcs Leadership Summit is geared toward senior business development, sales and markeঞng, and product/divisional business managers. It will feature a panel discussing what industry sectors expect from the plas- ঞcs industry in the coming years. The panel includes: • Rene Lammers, senior v.p., global beverage R&D, PepsiCo. • Theresa Hermel-Davidock, senior director, Abbo Laboratories • Jay Olson, global manager, materials engineering and technology, John Deere • Dr. Alex Rubin, senior technical fellow, Boeing Research and Technology Also included in tomorrow's session is a keynote about plasঞcs and the food and beverage industry and future trends for plasঞcs in healthcare. The summit runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., which in- cludes a networking lunch from 12:00-1:30 p.m. It's located in OCCC West, Room 415A. 81
