Liquidline products are available in dezincificaঞon-resistant brass as well as aluminum and stainless steel, with 45° and 90° elbows made of brass or stainless steel. The elbows are de- signed with opঞmized flow properঞes. Eisele reports that the new swept screw-in elbow of dez- incificaঞon-resistant brass or stainless steel has achieved beer flow rates than convenঞonal elbow fiমngs in comparaঞve tests, due to the fact that there is no turbulence and no obstruc- ঞon of the flow to prevent heat dissipaঞon. The company says the products are suitable for coolant connectors in welding processes, power electronics or high-frequency inducঞon-heaঞng systems. The improved flow rate of the elbows allows use of smaller di- ameters to achieve the same cool- ing effect as with convenঞonal elbow connectors. In addiঞon, a new modular kit system for custom mulঞple and mulঞ-media connectors is launched. Eisele's Mulঞline E se- ries modular kit can combine com- pressed air, vacuum, gases, cool- ant, liquids, electronics and elec- trical wiring in one base body. The Mulঞline series has ex- panded to include an opঞmized housing version with a pracঞcal locking lever that enables connec- ঞon and disconnecঞon within seconds. This quick-change sys- tem also requires less manual force, making it convenient to operate a Mulঞline E mulঞple con- nector that is completely equipped with drip-free adapঞve inserts. | (616) 726-7714 Enhanced Ultrasonic Welders Boast Speedier Changeovers Herrmann Ultrasonics, Inc. | Booth W8153 Herrmann Ultrasonics is highlighঞng the latest enhancements to its HiQ Vario series of ultrasonic welders, which can be config- ured to suit individual needs and boast shorter setup and changeover ঞmes thanks to features like the quick-change system (QCS). With the QCS, aligned weld tools can be changed to a new applicaঞon in un- der a minute. Manufacturers using the Vario for differ- ent devices will benefit from new safety measures launched a year ago. The first is an RFID reader that has been integrated into the tooling and guarantees that the right tool is installed. Not only is it built into the sonotrode but also into the fixture. The system automaঞcally associates the correct parameter seমng for parts to be welded with the installed tooling. Adding a second level of security is the in- tegraঞon of a custom sensor, which depends on what the manufacturer wants to detect (i.e. color, label, shape, etc.). Before each ultrasonic welding process, it verifies that the correct part in terms of shape and/or color has been placed into the fixture. If the system sees a mismatch, it locks the process, alarms the op- erator or puts the system on hold. | (630) 626-1626 DID YOU KNOW? More than 65,000 professionals are here in Orlando for NPE2018. That's roughly the capacity of Orlando's Camping World Stadium (formerly known as the Orlando Citrus Bowl). 67
