TUESDAY N PE 2 018 M AY 8 TH NPE2018 PRODUCTS ON DISPLAY Portable Chillers Now Capture Energy Data Frigel North America Inc. | Booth S14085, W193 Frigel's line of Microgel machine-side chiller/temperature con- trol units (TCUs) with digital controls now lets users capture, display and record historical process cooling energy data. Fri- gel displays the newest Microgel chiller/TCU at Booth W193 and in the new Bole Zone at Booth S14085. In addiঞon to energy consumpঞon, the Microgel digital controls allow processors to review temperatures, pressures and flow rates. All operaঞng data are stored in a historical log and are accessible via a touch screen. Processors can use the informaঞon to adjust the unit for specific molding condiঞons and opঞmal efficiencies. | (847) 540-0160 If it's happening in plastics, you'll hear about it in PT! Problem solving, tips and techniques, market opportunities, and new technology SUBSCRIBE TODAY! Blenders, Control Systems and More for Extrusion Process Control Corp. | Booth W4162 Process Control Corp. is showcasing a range of its latest product offerings. These include the latest iteraঞons of its G2 Gravimetric Batch Blender and the X2L Conঞnuous Blender; a three-layer Gravitrol Extrusion Control System; powder feeders; a large C70 Color Touchscreen Control; the EasyLink Receiver for minimizing installaঞon cost; and the SCADA Data Acquisiঞon System for monitoring blender/extruder rates, alarms, automaঞc reports and more. | (770) 449-8810 Edge-Bead Reducঞon Die for Coaঞngs, Largest-Ever 'Nano' Feedblock Cloeren Incorporated | Booth W6673, W6683 Cloeren Incorporated is showcasing the EBR V (edge bead reducঞon) die for extrusion-coaঞng applicaঞons for the first ঞme. The EBR V is the latest and most advanced design in its EBR series. With an installed base of more than 50 EBR V dies over the past five years, the new design has reliably demonstrated increased operaঞonal robustness over any oth- er edge bead reducঞon die in the market, Cloeren says. EBR dies are a key technology for the extrusion coaঞng and laminaঞon processes. These applicaঞons require great flexibility, specifically frequent web width and formulaঞon changes. Being able to reliably minimize the volume of mate- rial at the edge bead with the EBR V deckle system is an es- senঞal advantage with economical and environmental posi- ঞves, according to Cloeren. Cloeren is also displaying world's widest NanoLayer sys- tem, comprised of a 55-layer NanoLayer feedblock (pictured), paired with a 5435-mm Epoch III die. This state-of-the-art system will be producing the third-generaঞon (G3) of Nano- Layer stretch films. NanoLayer films have become a mainstay in the cast stretch film industry for enhanced performance in high-speed power pre-stretch applicaঞons. Second-generaঞon NanoLayer stretch films have provided measurable reducঞons in shipping losses through their enhanced performance over convenঞonal stretch films, and G3 films have been developed for further enhancements in packaging integrity. Cloeren's patented moebius-manifold die is also on display. The innovaঞve internal geometry of this die has proven to be parঞcularly suited for processing residence-ঞme-sensiঞve polymers, including PVC formulaঞons. | (409) 883-0943 59
