Trexel Booth W551 CHECK OUT WHAT IS NEW AT THE TREXEL BOOTH #W551 Fasteners Feature Unique Geometries ITW Shakeproof Group | Booth S19159 ITW Shakeproof is showcasing its new Wercs Technology that allows for the formaঞon of unique geometries on the thread. Two new products have been created that increase performance of these fasteners: • BosScrew thread-forming screw for plasঞcs is said to be the only screw specifically designed not to loosen. During thread rolling, pressure wells are added to the top flank of the thread. When the screw is installed, plasঞc will flow into these pressure wells, interlocking with the plasঞc. These features create an "uphill bale" for loosening even during vibraঞon and temperature change. •  GripTide insert is a low-cost steel insert for plasঞcs that reportedly surpasses brass inserts in quality, cost and performance. This insert uঞlizes cold forming and rolling to give a unique feature on the outside of the insert; it creates a permanent mechanical interference locking it in plasঞcs. GripTide has best-in-class anঞ-rotaঞon and high pull- out. The paern is compaঞble with all insert techniques and excels when using induc- ঞon or insert-molding systems. | (630) 605-1444 Less Power, Less Space Needed for Next-Generaঞon DeDuster Pelletron Corp. | Booth W2153 STAY CONNECTED …with the latest posts, news feeds, photos and videos. Join the industry and don't forget to use #NPE2018 on every social post! Pelletron says new patent-pending half-round cone technolo- gy is the foundaঞon for its next generaঞon dedusঞng product: the HR45 DeDuster. This new model will ulঞmately replace the XP45 DeDuster model that has long served the plasঞcs processing and compounding industry in injecঞon molding, extrusion and more. The HR45 has an overall capacity of 10,000 lb/hr (4.5 tons/ hr) for average bulk-density materials, including PE, PET, PC, PMMA, PA, and more. Pelletron says the advantages of the new HR45 DeDuster include reduced operaঞng costs with 40 percent less power consumpঞon, as well as reduced equip- ment costs thanks to smaller filters and cyclones—700 [ 3 /min versus 1100 [ 3 /min. Addiঞonal equipment cost reducঞons stem from the auto- maঞc inlet flow control feature that eliminates the need of a rotary valve to control the solids flow rate into the system. Flange-to-flange height has been reduced from 0.8 to 0.6 m, allowing the HR45 to fit into smaller spaces. The company says less carryover in the HR45 means easier cleaning while the "no-tools" access viewing window eases maintenance. | (717) 293-4008 42
