MONDAY N PE 2 018 M AY 7 TH NPE2018 PRODUCTS ON DISPLAY All-Electric Two-Stage Machine Makes Its Debut SODICK IMM / Plustech Inc. | Booth W782 Plustech Inc., (Booth W782), shows off its first Sodick all-electric machine, Sodick model MS100. This 100-ton two-stage model incorporates the company's V-Line two-stage injecঞon system, with an inclined staঞonary screw mounted over a horizontal plunger. A new toggle design is said to contribute faster cycles and energy savings. It will run a mold with conformal cooling produced on the company's new OPM250 metal 3D printer, also on display at NPE. Also on display is a 20-ton verঞcal LP20VRE press with rotary table, designed for micro over- molding; a Sodick 30-ton horizontal GL30A-LP, the company's flagship micromolder; and a 60-ton GL60A "Global Plaorm" horizontal press. All of these use the V-Line system. The GL60A is demonstraঞng the next-generaঞon Mellipper test tool from Beaumont Technologies Inc., (Booths S29023, W2193). The cavity balance achieved with the Mellipper is being be monitored by Sodick's new cavity-pressure monitoring system. plustech-inc.com | (847) 490-8130 Seven Marking Systems Controlled Simultaneously by Proprietary So[ware Mahews Marking Systems | Booth W8263 Ma•hews Marking Systems, a Ma•hews In- ternaঞonal Company and global supplier of industrial prinঞng equipment, is showcasing a variety of systems for the plasঞcs industry at NPE2018. Ma•hews Marking Systems provides marking and coding soluঞons for plasঞc applicaঞons of all kinds. In total, there are seven marking system demonstraঞons being held at the booth: three laser inscribing tech- nologies, one Drop-on-Demand (DOD) and three thermal ink jet (TIJ) technologies. All seven systems are controlled by the MPREIA so[ware at the same ঞme. To further exhibit the diversity of Ma•hews' products, each staঞon prints, codes or marks on a variety of applicaঞons that are specific to different plasঞc sub- strates. Ma•hews Marking Systems is in Booth W8263 in the West Hall on level 2. mahewsmarking.com | (412) 665-2500 Foremost Features Blending, Vacuum Loading, Granulaঞng and More Foremost Machine Builders, Inc. | Booth W2063 Foremost's (Booth W2063) new Mini Loss Weigh Blender (MLWB) is an integrated self-loading, automaঞc weighing system. Ful- ly programmable, the compact blender simul- taneously meters each ingredient by weight into an integrated mounted hopper, and then an individual totalizer records, sorts and dis- plays the actual weight of the ingredients on an ongoing basis. There are conঞnuous or batch operaঞng modes for the four models available, which range in throughputs from 1000 to 2500 lb/hr. Horsepower on the mix- er ranges from 1 to 3. In addiঞon to the blenders, Foremost is showing a vacuum loading system and vacu- um pump. The vacuum loader will have a control panel, while another display inte- grates vacuum loading. Here a•endees can see how Foremost's distributed I/O design allows disparate pieces of equipment to be easily daisy chained together. Foremost is also showing gravity, throat-mounted and tunnel-type metal de- tectors. The newest, MPULSE can learn the effect different products have on detecঞon, including how certain materials could falsely indicate as metal (black-coloring for instance due to carbon). Never shown before is a film grinder with roller feeder and blower discharge. The new filtered receiving cyclone (FRC) uঞlizes a cyclone but also has 6 self-contained filters that prevent contaminated exhaust from blowing out into the room. Foremost is also displaying its Oktomat bulk bag or gaylord unloader. foremostmachine.com | (973) 227-0700 • D i s p l a y o f T w o - R o l l M i l l w i t h N e w l y I m p r o v e d S a f e t y F e a t u r e s • L I V E T w i n - S c r e w C o m p o u n d i n g L i n e w i t h N e w I n - L i n e I n j e c t i o n M o l d e r , S p e c i M o l d .
