MONDAY NPE 2018 : THE PLASTICS SHOW SHOW DAILY NPE2018 PRODUCTS ON DISPLAY Flexible Twin for Small-Lot Compounding, High-Output Extruder ENTEK | Booth W5189 ENTEK is displaying two machines in its booth: its new QC3 33-mm co-rotaঞng twin- screw extruder, which was introduced in 2017 and is being shown publicly for the first ঞme; and its high-output co-rotaঞng 73-mm twin-screw extruder. ENTEK is also featuring two interacঞve work staঞons at its booth showing the company's unique screw-layout so[ware program. The QC3 33-mm twin is a new size designed for small-size lots of compounds and includes all of the company's latest QC3 (Quick-Change, Quick-Clean, and Quality Control) features. The new QC3 33-mm joins ENTEK's other QC3 models, which include its 27-, 43-, and 53-mm co-rotaঞng twins. The company also manufactures 73-, 103-, and 133-mm models. New mechanical design features being incorporated into the extruder include a patented self-aligning screw-gearbox couplings to facilitate fast and fool-proof installaঞon of screws; lock and key feature on splined sha[s to prevent screw ঞming errors; conveniently located gauges for quick monitoring of lube and cooling system running condiঞons; a quick change strand die; and enhanced controls. ENTEK is also featuring its 73-mm twin for high-output custom compounding. It's available with a 600-hp motor and screw speeds up to 900 rpm. ENTEK's unique screw design program is also featured at its booth. The company has two interacঞve work staঞons at its booth where visitors are encouraged to see how easy it is to quickly design screw and barrel layouts for their specific applicaঞons. | (541) 259-1068 Our Innovation Enables Your Success maag pump & filtration systems automatik scheer strand pelletizers gala automatik underwater pelletizers reduction pulverizing systems | | | Gear Pumps Filtration Systems Strand Pelletizing Systems Underwater Pelletizing Systems Pulverizers Centrifugal Dryers Continuous Melt Filtration Booth #W5775 Automaঞon for IML and Stack Molds CBW Automaঞon | Booth W943 CBW Automaঞon is showing off its experঞse in in-mold labeling by molding four IML rect- angular containers in 3.9 sec using a Netstal Elion 3200 hybrid press. CBW also is introducing two automaঞon systems that allow users to change quickly from one product to another in as lile as 10-30 min. CBW has changed the way the vacuum system is connected and added new programming that allows processors to store the recipe for each mold. These features are said to help users automate lower-volume applicaঞons and reuse automaঞon for mulঞ- ple applicaঞons. What's more, the modular design of CBW's Advantage A-Series and BeeLine B-Series side-entry robots enables delivery in eight weeks. One system on display uses a BeeLine B-Series robot to demold parts from a 2 × 4 injecঞon-compression stack mold running on a BMB press. The 220-m.t. machine will run a 4.5-sec cycle with a 0.6-sec robot intrusion ঞme. The B-Series incorporates some fea- tures of a top-entry robot: a strip stroke with high-vacuum part removal and "part missing" vacuum sensing. The robot also has an ad- justable centerline height to accommodate moving it to different molding machines. A universal "pick" allows the robot to pick parts from either the A-D or B-C face of the stack mold. A second CBW system is operaঞng at the KraussMaffei booth on a Netstal Elios 7500 machine running a 2 × 8 stack mold for 16-oz (409) deli containers in under 3 sec. The Ad- vantage robot offers high-speed strip stroke with high vacuum. cbwautomaঞ | (970) 229-9500 40
