FLEXIBILITY WITH TECHNOLOGY TO THE POINT. West Building Booth W143 Exploring Zones at NPE2018 By Jim Callari Plascs Technology Here at NPE, more than 65,000 aendees from all over the world are navigaঞng more than 1 million net square feet (nsf) of operat- ing machinery, new product demos, exciঞng innovaঞons, and emerging technologies from more than 2,000 leading suppliers of primary processing machinery, auxiliary equipment, tooling, so[ware, materials, addiঞves, and more. This year's show also features 10 pro- cess-specific Technology Zones—plus Inter- naঞonal Pavilions and the Industrial Design- ers Society of America Design Center—to further showcase what's hot in the industry. There are a number of specialized areas, all of which are located in the South Hall. 3D/4D Prinঞng: Aendees here can ex- plore the trends and technologies behind three- and four-dimensional prototypes, mold components and even finished parts—direct from digital files. Boles: Aimed at aendees who work with PET preforms, molds, labeling, filling, closures, design, inspecঞon equipment, auxil- iary equipment and more in container manu- facturing. At the Bole Zone Technical Fo- rum, hosted by PETplanet, drinktec, and the Internaঞonal Society of Beverage Technolo- gists (ISBT), aendees can explore innova- ঞons in the manufacturing of boles, from beverages and pharmaceuঞcals to personal care. Topics include: Raw materials, addiঞves, barrier, preform and closure manufacturing, bole blow molding technologies, bole fill- ing and inspecঞon technologies, downstream packaging and recycling. Aendees also have the opportunity to connect with other plas- ঞcs professionals in the Bole Zone Biergarten. Business & Finance: In charge of running a business? Mingle in this area with exhibitors that serve the plasঞcs industry in the areas of publishing, educaঞon, research, transporta- ঞon, banking, so[ware development, con- sulঞng and more.
