100 NPE2018: THE PLASTICS SHOW • May 7–11, 2018 PLASTICS INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION COUNCILS & COMMITTEES Processors Council (connued) Pharmaceuঞcal and Medical Device Applicaঞons Commiee PMDAC is the plaorm for companies in the medical supply chain comprised of business owners, senior- level execuঞves, and quality and regulatory specialists represenঞng raw material suppliers, formulators and compounders, auxiliary equipment manufacturers, moldmakers, processors and OEMs to provide strategic opportuniঞes including: • The ability to discuss and exchange knowledge about issues/concerns along the supply chain • The capacity to deliver useful guidance • The formulaঞon of strategies, including applicaঞons and innovaঞons, that promote sound science and good public policy Rigid Plasঞcs Packaging Group PLASTICS' Rigid Plasঞc Packaging Group (RPPG) is a resin-neutral group that focuses on consumer products and food service packaging. Membership in the RPPG is open to all suppliers, brand owners, plasঞc processors, and converters in the rigid plasঞc packaging supply chain. The RPPG meets twice a year in person—once in the spring, with brand owner speakers and an educaঞonal field trip, and once in the fall—with educaঞonal webinars and advocacy discussions in between the in-person meeঞngs. The RPPG delivers networking and engagement on issues impacঞng the business of rigid plasঞc packaging and shipping containers. The group's work is primarily conducted by the following acঞve subcommiees: • End-of-Life—idenঞfies strategic projects for RPPG to undertake • Communicaঞons—confirms projects and other RPPG endeavors to promote • Advocacy—discusses advocacy strategies and key issues to address • Open Head Shipping Container—maintains dedicated resources for regulatory review • Recruitment – works on efforts to expand RPPG Transportaঞon and Industrial Plasঞcs Commiee TIP is PLASTICS' principle point of engagement for all producers of rigid and durable plasঞcs in automoঞve, industrial and consumer goods. The enঞre supply chain—equipment manufacturers, material suppliers and compounders, processors and converters, brand owners and recyclers—is represented in the group as it addresses issues around sustainability and end-of-life vehicle recycling, lightweighঞng and materials issues, and other regulatory, advocacy and educaঞon issues of relevance to these end-market sectors. Recycling Commiee The Recycling Commiee is a stand-alone PLASTICS commiee that includes representaঞon from all the PLASTICS Councils. The Recycling Commiee is responsible for: • Innovaঞve demonstraঞon projects for recovering new streams of plasঞcs • Industry sustainability benchmarking • www.plasঞ • Zero Net Waste recogniঞon program • Ongoing collaboraঞon and partnership with external organizaঞons, such as The Recycling Partnership • Valuable informaঞonal webinars • Projects and programs supported by stakeholders from across the plasঞcs supply chain
