99 Fluoropolymer Products Division The Fluoropolymer Products Division (FPD) represents PLASTICS member companies that manufacture fluoropolymer resins or process, convert, compound or formulate fluoropolymers. This group keeps members apprised of industry developments and promotes the benefits of fluoropolymers to material suppliers and public opinion leaders. Since 1988, the FPD has been the go-to place for leading resin and material suppliers and processors. Since we represent both the resin manufacturers and the processor community, we are in a unique posiঞon to speak for all and provide many opportuniঞes for the members to unite and collaborate. FPD produces an annual conference each year to focus on the regulatory and economic issues for this market segment. Wire and Cable Secঞon The Wire and Cable Secঞon supports and coordinates the acঞviঞes of consultants serving on the Naঞonal Electrical Code (NEC) and Naঞonal Fire Protecঞon Associaঞon (NFPA) codes and standards commiees. The current focus of the Secঞon is the Power over the Ethernet Work Group. The Secঞon, working with Underwriters Laboratories, developed recommended power levels for wire and cable used to supply power for the "Internet of Things". Processors Council The Processors Council is the main point of engagement into PLASTICS for all processors and converters, regardless of the process they represent. Flexible Film and Bag Division PLASTICS' Flexible Film and Bag Division (FFBD) is made up of company representaঞves from the resin, machinery, processor/converter and brand owner segments of the industry, and has become the "go to" place for the enঞre flexible film and bag supply chain. FFBD is an all-inclusive organizaঞon focused on creaঞng opportuniঞes and providing a central locaঞon for relevant technology, topical informaঞon and advocacy through industry interacঞon. • Discuss and exchange knowledge about new technology, resin innovaঞons and packaging trends that impact the flexible film and bag industry. • Provide networking opportuniঞes throughout the year for companies who process flexible film or sell resin, addiঞves and equipment for the manufacture of flexible film and bags. • Act as a clearinghouse for informaঞon on advocacy efforts related to flexible film recycling, material deselecঞon and state and local bag bans and tax iniঞaঞves. • Host a quarterly webinar series by IHS on global trends in the ethylene and polyethylene market. • Host an annual conference that brings together members and non-members from all segments of the industry for updates on technical issues, advocacy, resin pricing trends and economic updates. Operaঞon Clean Sweep OCS is a PLASTICS environmental program with the goal to help every plasঞc resin handling operaঞon implement good housekeeping and pellet, flake and powder containment pracঞces to work towards achieving zero pellet, flake and powder loss — protecঞng the environment and saving valuable resources.
